About Us

The Free Health Care Project is a privately funded program of volunteer doctors, nurses, and medical interpreters with a mission to provide free health care to anyone in need within our community. We are based in Yarmouth, Massachusetts at the Brazilian Resource Center. We are a portable clinic and operate sites throughout Southeastern Massachusetts. We serve individuals lacking health insurance or without timely access to primary care. We offer minor acute care medicine, prescriptions for chronic illnesses, work and school physicals.

The Free Health Care Project (formerly known as Bridge Care Free Clinic) started in 2024 as a way to unite interested volunteer care providers with those in need of medical services. We have providers representing a variety of primary care and specialty disciplines. We have served thousands of individuals, and continue to grow at a rapid pace. The Free Health Care Project works in conjunction with the Brazilian Resource Center and the Cape Cod Medical Reserve Corps.

Appointments are easy to make using our automated sign up system. You do not need insurance, no insurance information is collected and no ID is required. We ask only the minimum amount of information needed to prescribe medications. We use live interpreters as much as possible, with on-site Portuguese and Spanish interpreter services.
